The Heart Walk is important to me. My wife and my son both have congenital heart disease, the most common birth defect. They are survivors, and I know that is in part due to the work of the American Heart Association.
I would have known my uncle, but sadly he died of congenital heart disease shortly after birth. He died from something that is easily repairable today.
It's because people gave to support research that then turned into treatments that are reason that so many heart conditions are repairable today.
So I ask you to give today, because we all know someone that is affected by heart disease or stroke. And your gift today will be used to fund important research that will save lives tomorrow. Heck, maybe even your own life.
Thank you for your support. It means so very much to me.
