This is a new day - a new time to support the American Heart Association as the Association has found new ways to support you. Putting people first, hand in hand with science, to help everyone live longer, healthier lives.
I'm so touched by the friends who have donated. Folks I've seen a handful of times since college, or grade school, and some I see everyday but already help me out in so many other parts of my life.
Asking for money is hard. Asking for money with the challenges we have faced the last few years is even harder.
But I do know that there are a few of you who can drop $5, $10, or even $25 into the American Heart Association because you know its done some great things in our communities, our hospitals and most importantly, in our lives.
Join me in a relentless pursuit of longer, healthier lives for all. And if you can, drop a few bucks into the Heart Walk fundraiser in support of this cause.
And if you can't, thank you anyways. For wishing you could. For thinking good thoughts. For reading my musings and considering the work that the American Heart Association does with your best interests in mind.
