Help me be a Heart Walk Hero!
Every year I check in with folks I know and remind them how important our mission is -- and that we need help to fight heart disease and stroke. These two leading causes of death in the world take a heavy toll on people afflicted by them, their families, other loved onese, friends and colleagues.
This past year, heart disease hit very close to home. We lost a beloved colleague and friend named Lucy Soto. She died in May while out jogging after suffering a cardiac arrest and heart attack. Lucy was healthy, proving once again that heart disease can strike anyone. We miss her greatly, and are honoring her this year by naming our team "Walking for Lucy."
As we raise money for research into better treatments, education and one day, cures, we really need your help. When you give or walk, you are saving or improving a life in some way. Please help.
