Greetings Family and Friends,
Funding research is a cornerstone of the American Heart Association’s (AHA) lifesaving mission, a pillar upon which the AHA was founded, and a key to our future. As the largest private not-for-profit funding source for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease research next to the federal government, the AHA facilitates new knowledge and advances that result from funding that benefits millions of lives in every corner of the U.S. and around the world.
The American Heart Association is recognized as a worldwide leader in cardiovascular science. Countless top cardiovascular scientists throughout the world are linked in some way with the AHA, as research recipients, council members, subscribers to our journals or recipients of awards that recognize scientific excellence. Fourteen scientists funded by the American Heart Association have won Nobel Prizes, including ten for research AHA wholly or partially supported.
The American Heart Association (AHA) is working to ensure optimal care for all. I am alive and so are many of my family members and friends because of the work of the AHA.
Will you join me/us in our global efforts to fight cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease of all kinds in all populations.
I hope you will.
Thank you in advance for your support!
