I walk because small hearts with big challenges need our help!
This year I'm dedicating my page to my High School Coach's son, Wyatt. Wyatt was born with rare conditions, Hypoplastic Right Heart and Heterotaxy Syndrome. In Wyatt's case, he was born without a right ventricle and was unable to get enough blood flow to support his breathing.
Wyatt had his first heart surgery at just 6 weeks of age and his second at 3 years old. He has also had 9 cardiac catheterizations and 3 other major procedures since birth.
I'm proud to work for the American Heart Association because we help fund research that helps kids, like Wyatt, have longer and stronger lives. Your support helps families like Wyatt's have hope, and for that, they are so grateful.
Together, we are creating a world of longer, healthier lives!
Have a heart and help me reach my goal today!
