No one ever wants that call, but it came for me just two days after Father's Day. Our Dad suffered a fatal cardiac arrest. I'm still reeling from the loss, but at the same time it's made me even more resolute in my mission to do whatever I can to stop other families from getting that call.
I've lost too many family members to CVD and stroke so I'm walking in the American Heart Association's Dallas Heart Walk, for my Dad and others we've lost too early like my Bob after 21 years together, my grandfather, Frank H. Bailey, my uncles Bill Springer and Jim Jones and my stepdad, Richard Brock. I miss them every single day.
That's why I'm raising money to fight heart disease and stroke and help save lives. I know it works, thanks to the AHA's 100 years of progress in research and life-saving treatments. Together, we can make healthier, longer lives possible for everyone.
Thank you in advance for your support!
