I'sis Currin was born in August 2005 with congenital heart disease. As a newborn and all the way up to the age of 4 she underwent  3 open heart surgeries to assist with her ❤.  In May of 2022 I'sis suffered a massive heart attack causing extensive damage to her heart.  In the late summer of 2022 I'sis was advised that she would need a ❤ transplant. She went through the process of being listed on the ❤ transplant list and was officially listed on February 14th 2024. On June 6th 2024 I'sis received the news that a ❤ was found and on June 7th 2024 she underwent her ❤ transplant surgery.  Unfortunately I'sis was unable to fully recover from her transplant and on June 28th 2024 I'sis was granted permission to enter into the gates of heaven .  We walk in honor of I'sis and her ability to love everyone and the strength and determination she had to keep going. 

 

Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death. ​
