On September 19, 2024, my sweet little granddaughter was referred to Children's of Colorado by her pediatrician for a heart murmur that was found during her fifteen-month check up.  I remember my son calling me to tell me what had happened at the appointment and I could hear his extreme concern.  I work for Children's and was able to get my granddaughter in with one of our cardiologists in Colorado Springs.  Her Team was amazing that day and was so patient with her as she went from test to test.  The cardiologist was very kind and informative when he  diagnosed our sweet Hadley with Bicuspid Aortic Heart Valve.  I once again can remember the look on my son and daughter-in-law's face.  In one moment, their world was turned upside down.  Hadley up to this point had showed no signs or symptoms, so you can imagine our complete shock!

Today ~ Hadley is so funny, happy, goofy and truly makes us laugh every day.  She is not even two yet and can put four to five-word sentences together.  She looks up to her big sister and is so good at sharing. She loves animals, running around in her backyard and chasing bubbles.

Hadley's future is uncertain, but we're very  lucky that as of now, she is a healthy little gremlin.
