Brilliant, self-deprecating, generous, compassionate, well-mannered, beautiful, and funny as all get out.
That was Mom. She remains my biggest motivation for participating in the Heart Walk and my most personal connection to the American Heart Association?s mission.
I never saw this photo of her until after she passed away, but it has become one of my favorites. I?d give anything to know what she was thinking in that moment. Perhaps she was wondering why she was shoe shopping when she looked so stylish and could have been doing something much more glamorous!
