Why I walk.
It's more personal for me this year. I've been participating in Heart Walk for past 10 years starting in the Bay Area where my family has reside for 30 years. This year, I moved to Dallas due to work related conditions. And I think the move is a blessing in disguise.
As I establish my health well being with my new doctor, he ordered a test that I've never known as relevant for me (Calcium test). The test revealed that I have a coronary heart disease. He ordered 3 more tests which I've passed so I can say that my condition was detected early enough to enable me to switch my lifestyle and diet
I feel so grateful of the turn of events. I believe I was guided to a better path to enjoy additional years of my life. I'm grateful for the lifesaving resources and researches the American Heart Association provides.
I walk because I believe.
