As I celebrate 9 years with the American Heart Association, I continue to walk for my daughter, MJ.
MJ was born early because of undetected preeclampsia during my pregnancy. Soon after, we also discovered she had a congenital heart defect. Today, our family is healthy with the addition of MJ's little brother with much gratitude to the AHA for its life-saving efforts around cardiovascular health.
