This year, my family lost my cousin Graham due to heart disease.
Graham was the kind of person who lit up every room. He was funny, kind, loved his family, never met a stranger, and enjoyed life to the fullest. His wit and his inclusive nature had a way of making everyone feel like family. His presence enriched all of our lives, and his absence is deeply felt.
In Graham's honor, I'm supporting the American Heart Association to help fund research, raise awareness, and honor Graham’s legacy by making a difference for others.
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this.
Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death.
Every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone.
I am participating in the Heart Walk to save lives. Help me reach my goal today.
