In 2023, I survived a multifocal ischemic stroke and spent three days in the ICU. Today, I am grateful to be here - and proud to be walking as a survivor in the 2025 American Heart Association Heart Walk.
I walk not just for myself, but for the millions impacted by heart disease and stroke. Did you know 9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital don?t survive? In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But together, we can change that.
