In 2011, my dad passed away suddenly from a hemorrhagic stroke. Losing him at that time was a life-changing experience for me, my family, and everyone who knew and loved him. His passing left a mark that I still carry with me every day, but it has also fueled my passion for making a difference in the fight against stroke and heart disease.
Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of working with the American Heart Association on stroke quality improvement initiatives. It has been a true full-circle moment, transforming such a personal loss into meaningful work that aims to improve outcomes for patients and families across the country.
I am honored to participate in the AHA’s Heart Walk in Dallas. Every dollar raised helps prevent families from experiencing the kind of devastating loss that mine went through, and it moves us closer to a future with healthier hearts for all.
I invite you to join me in honoring my dad’s legacy by supporting this cause. Whether through a donation or simply spreading the word, your support makes a real difference, and I am deeply grateful.
