Someone once told me that "people don't support causes, they support people." I am no exception. I have seen things such as cardiac arrest, heart disease, and other conditions impact and take the lives of so many. Among them, my Nanny and sadly the person who spoke those words. My Nanny lived to 89 and I am thankful for each moment and memory I had with her. The person who spoke the quote lived to be 48, another only 17. Cardiac arrest and heart disease are not discriminators of person.
There are times when we may feel powerless to make an impact.
But this is not one of those times.
With our donations we have the capacity to make a difference, to train more people in CPR, to fund more research, and to foster more lifesaving moments.
I walk to support people so that they can have more moments.
