Every step I take in healthcare is deeply personal. I didn't get here through the easy road. I got here through perseverance, long nights, early mornings, and a promise to myself to keep moving forward no matter how tough things get.
I've spent over a decade caring for patients, first through private home healthcare and now at Ben Taub Hospital as a Patient Care Assistant II on the Medical-Surgical Unit. Every day, I witness the courage of people fighting for their health. Their stories remind me why I chose this path. To be a source of care, hope, and strength when people need it most.
I'm also a student, working toward my Bachelor of Arts in Communication and preparing to enter a BSN program. I believe deeply in bridging the gap between patients and providers by using communication to build trust, dignity, and empowerment in healthcare. My dream is to create a system where every patient feels seen, heard, and supported.
But beyond my job title and degrees, I'm a son, father, husband, and community advocate who believes in giving back. I walk and fundraise because I want to help build a future where health isn't just about treating illness, it's about empowering lives.
Your support isn't just a donation, it's a way to stand with me in this mission. Together, we can help patients, families, and communities live stronger, longer, and more meaningful lives.
Thank you for believing in this vision.
