I?m walking in the Tarrant County Heart Walk to save lives?especially the smallest among us.
Every 90 seconds, someone suffers cardiac arrest outside of a hospital, and 9 out of 10 don?t survive. Too often, it?s because CPR wasn?t started in time. I?m fundraising for the American Heart Association to train more lifesavers, fund research, and create more moments with the people we love.
I also walk for all the children born with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD)?the most common birth defect, affecting 1 in 100 babies (about 40,000 each year in the U.S.). Many will need surgery or major medical care in their first year of life, and their families face lifelong challenges.
I walk to honor them, give hope, and fight for a future where every child has the chance to thrive.
Please help me reach my goal?together we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
