Last year my sister got a pacemaker. At first, I didn't really understand what was going on-I just knew it was scary. But she handled it way better than I did. She stayed strong, even when I was nervous, and showed me what real courage looks like.
Now, life feels more normal again-except she still bosses me around like always. I joke about it, but honestly, I'm really proud of her. She's my big sister, my role model, and yes... my hero (though I'll probably deny that if she asks).
This year, we're walking in the 2025 Coastal Bend Heart Walk for her. Every step we take is to celebrate her journey and to help other families like ours.
