My name is Amelia, and I'm six and a half years old. Since I was just six months old, I've been living with congenital heart disease. This has meant three open-heart surgeries and countless cardiac catheterization procedures. Every day, I take medication and attend regular appointments to manage my condition.
But despite all of this, I'm a very active and happy little girl! I'm in my third year of cheerleading, and I've also played t-ball for three years. I'm hoping to get cleared to play softball soon. When I'm not cheering or playing sports, I love to dance, sing, play with makeup, and play Roblox. I'm a busy girl!
I'm participating in a walk to raise money for heart disease research, and I'd be so grateful for your support. I walk for myself, for my grandfather ("popo"), for my friends who also have heart disease, and for all the families facing this challenge. Living with congenital heart disease isn't easy; it requires ongoing medical care, medications, and advanced technology.
While there's currently no cure, research and technological advancements are making a real difference in the lives of people like me. Your generous donation will directly support vital research initiatives and help develop life-saving technologies that will benefit countless families. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to a brighter future.
We may face challenges, but with the support of the community, we can make a real impact. Your kindness will not only help fund crucial research but also raise awareness about this often-overlooked disease. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for considering a donation to help me reach my goal. Your support means the world to me.
