9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this. ?
Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death. ?
It's time to unite, take action, and save lives. Every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.?
A lot of you know my background. For those of you who don't, I have played sports my whole life. On top of this, I have been serving in the healthcare community on and off in some form for the past 20 years. I have worked as an EMT and a Strength and Conditioning Coach. I even spent some time as a personal trainer. I am currently working in a Patient Support Services role at Baylor Scott & White in the Greater Austin Region. My degree is in Exercise Science.
My goal is for as many people as possible to get certified in CPR. The sooner CPR begins, the greater the chance of survival. Please join me in whatever way you can to help increase the knowledge and capabilities of all of those around us. Thank you for your support!
