I’m honored to be participating in the 2025 Metro Chicago Heart Walk, and I’ve set a personal goal to raise $2,500 for the American Heart Association.
Heart disease and stroke don’t wait for better times—and neither can we.
Now more than ever, it’s critical that we fund lifesaving research. Recently proposed federal budget cuts threaten access to essential health programs like Medicaid and nutrition assistance—resources millions of Americans rely on for care and prevention. These programs are especially important to people affected by heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, and related conditions.
If these cuts go through, the ripple effects will be felt for decades. Children, seniors, veterans, and those with disabilities may face barriers to getting basic medical care or even a healthy meal. These aren't just numbers on a spreadsheet—they’re our neighbors, our loved ones, our communities.
The American Heart Association is fighting back—not with politics, but with science, education, and advocacy. Your donation helps fund:
-
Lifesaving research that leads to medical breakthroughs.
-
Public health programs that promote heart-healthy habits and support underserved communities.
-
Policy advocacy to protect access to care and nutrition nationwide.
By supporting me in this walk, you’re not just making a donation—you’re making an impact. You’re helping push forward the kind of science that leads to healthier lives, longer futures, and real change in a time when it's needed most.
If you believe everyone deserves a fair chance at health, I invite you to join me—whether by donating, walking, or simply spreading the word.
Let’s walk toward a future where longer, healthier lives are possible for all.
Thank you for your support.
