The reason I walk is for my family and the hope of better research for our future. Hoping for a full cure is more then we can wish for right now, however; more education, research, more people learning CPR, and awareness is the true hope for our lifetime.

When I sat next to my mom in the hospital room as she knew there was nothing more that could be done for her, it was heartbreaking. She knew her time was up and there was nothing more that could be done. Unfortunately, my mom has missed many life events, including watching all 7 grandchildren graduate from high school and many others.

Together, let's change this outcome so other families can keep their loved ones around to celebrate lives events.

9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this.

Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death.

It's time to unite, take action, and save lives. Every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
