I walk for my sister, who was born with a congetial heart defect: pulmonary stenosis and transposition of the great vessels. She has had numerous open heart surgeries throughout her life, made easier by our mom who spent her entire career as a pediatric cardiac ICU nurse. Depsite challenges, my sister is thriving in life and is my best friend!
