If you know me, you know I’m usually the person rallying people together, for a team, a cause, a community event, or honestly just an excuse to bring good people together for something meaningful.
Over the years, some of the most fulfilling experiences I’ve had were during my time at DaVita supporting the Kidney Walk. There’s something incredibly powerful about seeing people show up for one another, not because they have to, but because they care.
Now, I’m excited to carry that same energy into the 2026 Denver Heart Walk.
At SM Energy, we talk a lot about “Be the Buffalo”, leaning into the storm instead of avoiding it. That mindset has stuck with me in so many areas of life, and it feels especially fitting here. Heart disease and stroke impact so many families, friends, coworkers, and loved ones, and this is one small way we can move toward the challenge together instead of away from it.
So here I am… once again rallying the herd!
Whether you donate $5, share the page, walk alongside us, or simply cheer us on from afar, thank you. Truly. Every bit of support helps fund lifesaving research, education, prevention, and care.
And if we happen to blow the other teams out of the water while doing some good? Even better!
