Hello friends and family! On April 25, I will be walking in the American Heart Association walk. Many of you may already know that this is something that is near and dear to my heart as I lost both my father at the age of 16 and then later in my adult life, my mother with heart disease. This disease has greatly impacted my family as my brother and I also now are affected by this disease.
On January 15 of 2026 I went in to have a triple bypass and a Heart valve replacement. The surgery was a success! As I was arriving in my ICU room, I had a platelet transfusion, where I went into cardiac arrest. I coded and was gone for 23 minutes.
By the grace of God and his guidance to my surgeon and his team as well as the many ICU Nurses, they saved my life that day. By their knowledge, skill and dedication to not give up I am here today to tell my story.
I ask that if you have ever had a friend or a loved one affected by this disease, to please support me and so many other by donating so that education on life saving techniques may be taught, saving thousands of lives each day.
I walk to save lives.
Please help me reach my goal this year of $2500. Any amount helps!! Thank you for reading my story.
