Heart disease has touched my life in ways that are hard to put into words. I’ve seen how it affects the men and women I love—sometimes suddenly, sometimes quietly, but always deeply. It doesn’t care who you are. For some, it came with warning signs that were easy to overlook; for others, it changed everything in an instant. What stays with me most is not just the fear or the uncertainty—it’s the resilience, the courage, and the way it brings into focus just how precious every moment with the people we love truly is.

That’s why I’m walking this year. I walk for the names and faces that are part of my story—for the battles fought, for the lives forever changed, and for the hope that we can do better for the people we care about. Every step feels personal, like carrying a piece of their journey with me.
