I had a cardiac event in December of 2023. Thru tenacity and patience Doctors in the UT East Texas Cardiac system determined i had severe Aortic Regurgitation. I relocated to the DFW area and pursued the cardiac team at the Baylor Heart Hospital. In April of 2026 it was determined that my Aortic Valve needed to be replaced. On May 6th of 2026 I had Open Heart surgery to facilitate Aortic Valve Replacement. While in there they found and repaired an Aortic Dissection. In mid June i began Cardiac Rehabilitation to strengthen my body to increase the chances of the success of recovery. So far so good. As a small way of giving back I have decided to participate in the Dallas Heart Walk on October 17, 2026.
In a heartbeat, you could be the difference.
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital don’t survive. Most of the time, it’s because no one nearby performed CPR. But together, we can change that.
Extraordinary things happen when people take action. A small step. A simple skill. A lifesaving moment. Heart Walk brings communities together to create health and hope for every heartbeat. Every walker who joins, every dollar donated, means more people trained in CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone.
Extraordinary starts with YOU. Please help me reach my goal today!
