2026 Dallas Heart Walk
Carolyn's beat
October 17, 2026 — DFW. We walk to honor the rhythm of hearts that no longer beat, yet whose presence still lives on within us. This walk is for my mom, Carolyn. For me, it’s deeply personal — a mission to save lives, raise awareness, and bring clarity and hope to others. In a heartbeat, you could be the difference.
On October 29, 2017, my mother lost her fight to a myocardial infarction — better known as a heart attack — which caused her to fall and break her neck. At just 47 years old, she was a mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt whose light was taken far too soon. This walk is about showing up for those who can’t walk for themselves, for those fighting silent battles, and for those who no longer can.
Nine out of ten people who suffer cardiac arrest outside of a hospital don’t survive — often because no one nearby performs CPR. But together, we can change that.
