Walking for Royce

We’re walking in honor of our son, Royce, who has been fighting heart disease since he was born.

We walk because we know firsthand the difference that heart research can make. If not for decades of research and advances in cardiac care, Royce’s story could have been very different. The treatments and knowledge available to him gave him a chance, and we want other children and families to have that same chance.

We’re especially passionate about advocating for and educating others about congenital heart disease and the profound, lifelong impact it can have on children and their families. CHD is the most common birth defect, yet so many people don’t realize just how much it can affect a family beyond the initial diagnosis or surgery.

We walk to raise awareness, support research, and help build a future where children born with heart disease have more options, better treatments, and brighter outcomes.
