My daughter is the 1.
Born with a heart defect that has had her in heart failure practically since birth, she still manages to be a light and shine brightly.
My daughter will require an open heart surgery to repair her heart defect. It has been a long and taxing road, on all of us, with multiple CICU admissions, and one heart surgery down already.
Despite having to work harder than most healthy babies do to reach certain milestones, she is still strong and amazes us every day.
This year I'm walking on behalf of my little heart warrior, and fundraising for the American Heart Association so that they can continue to keep funding for heart research, advocacy, care, and education.
