Did you know 9 out of 10 people who go into cardiac arrest outside the hospital do not survive? Most of the time it is because no one nearby knew CPR. That can change.

Cardiac arrest can happen anywhere. At home, at work, on the field, in the neighborhood. What really matters is if someone is ready to step in.

In December 2023, I had a significant heart attack at home. My wife was ready, stepped in, and helped save my life. Every doctor told me it was a miracle I survived. I got a second chance, and I do not take that for granted.

That is why I am walking in the AHA Heart Walk. Every dollar raised means more people trained in CPR, more research, and hopefully more stories like mine.
