I'm blessed to be a part of the American Heart Association and the amazing work they do to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. This mission is personal to me, as it is to so many of you. My personal why is for the lovely lady in the picture. This is my mother who has been battling heart disease for many years, including experiencing an aortic aneurysm and the life saving surgery. She continues her fight with congestive heart failure and has been succeeding. Much of this I am witnessing first hand through the efforts of AHA as I discuss with the doctors the new treatments and medications that are a result of the research performed through the AHA. It is an amazing opportunity to see how the work directly impacts the lives of those we love.
Saving and improving lives can be as simple as taking a walk. And I know I'm making a difference in the lives of others by participating in the Heart Walk. But it's not just my efforts alone that will one day help us see a world free of heart disease and stroke. I am walking with a team of heart heros because together, we will have an even greater impact. And you can help us change the world, one step at a time, by donating to my fundraiser.
Your donation will fund groundbreaking research that keeps hearts beating and helps people enjoy longer, healthier lives. I can't do it alone.
Please help me now by donating. Because every step counts. And together we are helping save lives!
Have a heart and help me reach my goal today!
