A Cure is Why! Join me in supporting the American Heart Association!
In December of 2015, with all tests being done in ER showing normal, I suffered vfib cardiac arrest and was shocked twice to restart my heart. I was taken to cath lab where a stent was placed for 100% blockage and approximately 12 hours later I was returned to cath lab where I had 2 more stents placed with both being 95% blocked. Then 3 months later I had to have yet another stent placed for 99% blockage. I've had a total of 8 heart caths in 7 years so I know first hand how unrelenting this disease can be.
As a survivor of cardiac arrest I want to do all I can to help others to not have to go through what I have from cariovascular disease. If my efforts can help just one person avoid this awful disease that would be so rewarding knowing that I made a difference!
I’m not just walking. I’m Heartwalking. My participation in Heart Walk promotes fun ways to be physically active and make healthier choices every day. Imagine the impact if we reduce death and disability from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20 percent by 2024. Please help me reach this lifesaving goal by donating today. Together, we can make healthier, longer lives possible for everyone.
Thank you in advance for your support!
