I walk because I know that with every step I take, I’m making a difference in my family's life.
My daughter (Ashley) just had her second child in February 2023. Praises! Ashley has aortic stenosis, which puts her at greater risk, but because of all the specialists and knowledge created from the money raised, she did not have any problems.
She has had Aortic Stenosis since she was 18 months old. We don't know how or why it happened but suspect it could have been a high fever. She has gone in for echocardiograms on a yearly basis since she was 18 months old and continues to follow up with cardiac expertise.
We know that when we combine with a million other Heart Walk Heroes across the nation, we have an even greater impact on curing heart disease and stroke.
