I walk for my son Jordan. Jordan was born with a condition called Marfan Syndrome. The most dangerous complications of Marfan Syndrome involve the heart and blood vessels. Most patients with Marfan Syndrome will need at least one major heart surgery during their life to repair their aortic root, valve or both. Jordan found out he needed surgery late in 2017. He underwent an extensive (14 hours) open heart surgery in December of 2017 at the Mayo Hospital with numerous surgeries to follow. Jordan is now thriving with a new aortic heart valve and aortic root. I truly believe, if it weren't for funding and research done by the American Heart Association these surgeries would not have been possible. Will you be a Heart Walk Hero with me?
