Why I Walk for Heart Health: For My Granddad
Heart disease and stroke have touched all of us in one way or another. For me, it's deeply personal. My Granddad had his first heart attack in his 30s, back in the 1950s. In those days, medical advice was limited - he was kept overnight for observation and sent home with simple instructions: eat better, stop smoking. At just 48, he had a major heart attack that required bypass surgery. Over the next two decades, he underwent four bypass surgeries and multiple stent procedures.
Thanks to advancements in medicine and the dedication of his doctors, we were given precious extra years with him - time I will always be grateful for.
I walk because every step we take together makes a difference. We’re funding research that not only keeps hearts beating but also gives families like mine more time with their loved ones.
Will you join me in this mission? Your donation will help fuel lifesaving research and make longer, healthier lives possible for so many.
Let’s walk together toward a future free from heart disease and stroke. Every dollar helps and every step saves lives.
Please help me reach my goal today.
