I walk because I know that with every step, I am saving lives. For me, its personal.
- My father, Danny Krass, whose life was extended by almost 40 years after his first heart attack.
- My father-in-law, Jim Fischer, likley passed away from a fatal cardiac arrhythmia.
- My brother, Chris Krass, who underwent successful treatment for Afib.
- My son Robert Krass, diagnosed and cured from Wolff-Parkinson-White disease as a teenager (now 31).
- And my son Tyler (now 30), that underwent open heart surgery 6 years ago at Research Medical Center to repair his mitral valve.
- My family, pictured above, is grateful we did not have to endure the loss of a child/sibling due to a heart defect. The reseach and medical advances achieved by the American Heart Association's mission made it all possible.
We're all tied to heart disease and stroke in some way. And your donation will fund groundbreaking research that literally keeps hearts beating and helps people have longer, healthier lives.
Have a heart and help me reach my goal today.
