I walk because of my Mom. Many of you know, my Mom died suddenly of a heart attack at the young age of 56. When I called 911 the call taker told me how to do CPR. During the panic, I only gave rescue breaths and kept yelling at my sister to go get our neighbor who was a nurse. My mom had a massive acute myocardial infarction (Heart Attack) and nothing could have been done to save her.
I am sure she is proud of my work in Europe and Africa with the AHA and knows I'm making an impact in saving lives.
I'm honored to be this years International Departments co-coach to reach our goal.
And when combined with a million other Heart Walk Heroes across the nation, we have an even greater impact toward curing heart disease and stroke. Will you be a Heart Walk Hero with me?
