As many of you know, my husband, Glenn, had triple bypass surgery two years ago.
Thankfully he experienced symptoms of artery blockage, acted on the symptoms by talking to his doctor, and pressed for a diagnosis and action even when initial tests came back normal.
Also thankfully, he was connected to a wonderful cardiologist who subsequently connected us with an amazing surgeon and team at Columbia Hospital in New York.
Since his surgery, he feels better than he has in years and fortunately avoided what would otherwise have been a guaranteed heart attack in the future.
We are so grateful for such a positive outcome, but there are too many stories that end in tragedy and loss.
