My family has been greatly affected by heart attacks and strokes. Not only did both my parents have heart attacks but so did my son at a young age and last year on my way home from work I had a cardiac event that landed me in the hospital. I was diagnosed with WPW a birth defect that is normally discovered in newborns! Why it went undetected for so many years is a mystery. But thanks to the knowledgeable Drs. who diagnosed it and did a cardiac ablation procedure I am now able to lead a normal life.
I walk because I know that with every step, I am saving lives.
