My nieces, Eleanor and Olivia, capture the heart of everyone who meets them with their big blue eyes and even bigger hearts. When they were born prematurely at 29 weeks old, those same hearts were the size of a grape and still developing.
Today, they are active, healthy, and happy girls who run, play, and learn so much every single day! This wouldn't be possible without the care and knowledge of the medical team who carefully and patiently nurtured them to term in the NICU. The AHA is pivotal in the research that goes into the heart health of premature babies when they are born, and as they grow and progress through life in all stages.
That is why I will walk on May 31st. I walk for my nieces and for all children and adults who were born prematurely.
I am hoping to raise $2,500 to assist the AHA in continuing the research necessary to save the lives of children and adults just like my nieces. Please help me reach my goal today.
