Why We Walk
2021 Greater Lake Houston Heart Walk
Atascocita High School
Welcome to the donation page of Atascocita High School HOSA as part of the 2021 Greater Lake Houston Heart Walk! This is an amazing opportunity provided by the American Heart Association to bring together walkers from our local community and fight against heart disease and stroke! With a donation of any amount, you will be funding heart disease & stroke research through the American Heart Association, while also raising awareness against the highest causes of death in the U.S. Funding will also contribute towards innovative treatments to reduce the risk of heart disease, and develop methods for living healthier lifestyles.
The Greater Lake Houston Heart Walk and the American Heart Association are serving as a platform to enable our Houston community to be a relentless force for longer, healthier lives. In our heart walk, we will be commemorating our local stroke/heart disease survivors by spreading their message throughout our community; rallying together to walk 3 miles as both a form of healthy exercise and advocacy for the future of heart health. Exercise aids in keeping the heart active and alleviates the main causes of heart disease- high blood pressure and obesity. Heart disease and stroke are deterring our ability to love, share, and be with the people we care about. With the Greater Lake Houston Heart Walk, we will be making a strong impact on the heart health of our nation and making a difference in our lifestyles.
The Greater Lake Houston Heart Walk of 2021 will be held on October 30th at 8am with a goal of raising $1,250 for the American Heart Association. This event serves to save and unite the lives of millions of dads, moms, sisters, brothers, babies: the people we love. Come on down and thank you for supporting our cause to battle heart disease and stroke!
AHS HOSA and other clubs/organizations will be there attending, walking, and supporting the causes!
