Meet Everly Hope, a smart, confident, energetic, and sassy five-year-old girl who loves to play with her sisters. Seeing her today, you would never believe the challenging start she had. Her diagnosis came at her mother’s 20 week anatomy ultrasound. Everly Hope was born with Tetralogy of Fallot, which means that part of her heart wall was not fully developed. Since the moment Everly Hope was born she spent countless hours at doctor appointments with her first open heart surgery scheduled at just four months of age. What might have felt like a lifetime spent in the hospital, Everly Hope was quickly released home after just one week in the hospital. She loves to tell her story of her journey and her “Battle Scar”. Her Parents are so grateful and thankful to Texas Children’s Hospital and to the team of nurses and doctor’s that made the journey an easier one through this tough time in their lives.
