I walk because I love and cherish my children and grandchildren. I want them to realize a world without heart disease. I walk with deep gratitude that my husband is alive thanks to medical science that keeps his heart ticking, stent and all! I also walk in memory of cherished loved ones whose lives ended too soon because of heart disease. My brother Dean, my cousins Bill and Duane, my father-in-law, Bernard.
We're all tied to heart disease and stroke in some way. We have to change that. Will you help me? This is my one-time solicitation for your dollar-support for my participation in the annual AHA Heartwalk, on September 21. Your donation will fund groundbreaking research that literally keeps hearts beating and helps people have longer, healthier lives.
You are, of course, invited to join us in making the walk on September 21. This date is nearly a month earlier than previous years, but the goals and purpose are every bit as timely. Join us for the walk, and we'll treat you to breakfast after the walk. Contact me for details.
Have a heart and help me reach my goal today. Many thanks.
