We Walk to Save Lives!
I want to share a deeply personal story—one that has shaped my life and inspired me to take action. My beloved husband, Robin, was a man of integrity, vision and purpose. We built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments, from our morning golf outings to our late-night talks. But everything changed suddenly when Robin suffered a stroke last year. Despite the best efforts of the medical teams and the unwavering support of our family, he passed away, leaving an immeasurable void in the hearts of many.
In the midst of this profound loss, I’ve searched for a way to honor Robin’s memory and make a difference. That journey led me to the American Heart Association, an organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. Their mission resonates deeply with me, and I know I’ve finally found a way to transform my grief into purpose.
This March, I will be walking not only in memory of Robin but for everyone affected by stroke and heart disease. My goal is to raise funds and increase awareness, particularly in underserved communities where access to healthcare and education is often limited. By supporting this cause, we can help prevent strokes and heart disease—so that more families don’t have to experience the pain of losing someone they love.
Robin’s legacy is one of love, compassion, and community—values that we can carry forward. By supporting the American Heart Association, spreading awareness, and taking steps to protect our own heart health, we can create real change. Together, we can bring hope, healing, and support to those who need it most—ensuring that Robin’s memory continues to shine in the lives we touch.
Today I am asking (and would be deeply grateful) for your support. Whether it’s through a donation, joining me in this walk, or simply spreading the word, every effort makes a difference.
With heartfelt gratitude
