19 years participating in the Heart and Stroke Walk… when I think back to my 26-year-old self who started with the AHA in 2007, I never in my wildest dreams anticipated dedicating nearly 2 decades to the American Heart Association. Some days it feels like the blink of an eye, other days it feels like a lifetime has passed. Maybe it’s a little bit of both.
I can see the life I’ve built over 19 years filled with weddings, houses and babies… new cities and new friends. I blink and realize it’s been almost 3 years since my mom’s heart stopped beating and a year and a half since my dad’s debilitating stroke.
Time is both a gift and a thief, a gift of moments filled with joy and love, a thief of moments we’ll never get to experience again.
I've registered to support the American Heart Association and made a commitment to raise money to keep hearts beating. I've set my goal at $5000. I need your help because more money raised means more moms, dads, brothers, aunts, and babies' lives saved. Even the smallest donation can make a big difference. Please make a donation and support me today!
