The mission of the American Heart Association is deeply personal to me. I’ve lost two grandparents to heart disease, and my dad has been under watch for years. My sister and I have worked hard to change the course of our family’s heart health — but I know too well that not everyone has the resources, knowledge, or opportunity to do the same. And sometimes, even with our best efforts, genetics still plays a role. That is why the role the American Heart Association plays is critical.
Heart disease remains one of the greatest health threats we face. In the construction industry — where many of my friends, family members, and colleagues work — the risk is even higher. Long hours, high stress, and physically demanding jobs often make healthy living harder. That’s why Hunt Electric is stepping up. Too often, our workers don’t know their blood pressure is dangerously high until it’s too late — so we’re bringing blood pressure monitoring straight to the job sites. Because early awareness isn’t just helpful — it saves lives.
Every dollar raised fuels lifesaving research, health education, patient care, and policy change. It’s progress you can see, and impact you can feel.
I invite you, your colleagues, and your family to walk with me and help make a difference. Together, we can protect more hearts, save more lives, and change more futures.
I walk to save lives. Will you join me?
