Why I’m Fundraising
In 2022, my mom suffered a stroke caused by COVID-19. We were incredibly fortunate—she recovered with minimal brain damage. But in 2023, she was diagnosed with heart disease, specifically Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation. Since then, she’s faced multiple hospital visits, dangerously high heart rates, palpitations, and extremely low blood pressure. She often feels lightheaded, and every day is a challenge.
This is why I’m walking. This is why I’m fundraising.

9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this.
Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death.
