I now understand why heart disease is a silent killer; as many people believe symptoms they are feeling are related to stress, anxiety, or just a busy work day. No one ever thinks it's their heart. December 2023 I had been experiencing chest pressure with palpitations; family talked me into getting it checked out. Went to urgent care thinking I would be in and out. Boy was I wrong!! From urgent care, I went to ER and then admitted to the hospital discovering I needed open heart surgery.
Due to my story and so many other stories, I walk because I know that with every step, I am saving lives.
