We’re walking in honor of our brave little heart warrior, Elias, and we’d love for you to join us. Funds raised through the Heart Walk help support life-saving research, CPR training, and education to prevent and treat heart conditions.
Elias was diagnosed with D-Transposition of the Great Arteries (D-TGA) and a very small Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) — a congenital heart defect where the two main arteries leaving the heart are reversed, and a tiny hole exists between the lower chambers. At just a few days old, Elias underwent open-heart surgery to correct the TGA. Thanks to early detection, advanced medical technology, and a dedicated team of doctors and nurses, we were prepared and ready to face his heart journey head-on.
